Some people find themselves living totally in darkness. A merchant who went broke recently suffered piling problems. His wife and friends left him. He sold his house and car to repay loans. He lives in darkness.
Living in the darkness of despair reminds me of glowing marine species in the depths of oceans. They brighten the darkness. If they fail to produce light, they invite other species such as glowing bacteria so that they may see their way through darkness.
Humans produce their inner light too.
- There are people who produce light and shine their own way in life. They do so by their positive thinking, enjoying the NOW, by turning on the bulb of creativity in their heads, and by their readiness to extend their light to despairing people.
- There are people who illuminate because we stir them to do so. They do not know their potential. They need to stir and rub to realize their potential.
- There are people who need “burning” to glow. They are as if charcoal and firewood only glow when ignited in the right conditions.
- There are people who lack glowing altogether, but they know how to associate themselves with glowing people. They benefit from their association with internally lightening people.
- There are people who are glowing with lights that are attractive to others only to steal them. Stories about people who came up with glowing investment ideas only to steal the money of others.
Those people are like some insects that lure their victims to the light only to intoxicate them. You find people advertising visas for immigration so that the needy can find new homes and jobs. These invitations are the lure to catching the needy in their nests and rob their life savings.
Let us be the light that shines on others instead of the light that burns others.
